HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Ok, now that we have that over with let's get to work. 24 days until the first practice and our first event is the Soby's Breakfast on the 7th of January. Below you will find the Boy's breakfast assignments. Soby's Breakfast Assignments We are asking the boys to be at Soby's 15 minutes prior to their assigned time. You must check in with Stephanie Stephenson at the front so you can get your job assignment. Parent Gear There will be an opportunity for parents to purchase logo wear to support the team at the breakfast. We have hats, sweat shirts, pullovers, car magnets. All will be displayed and for sale or you can order for later delivery if we don't have the inventory available. 
We will also be distributing the sox's and the red practice shorts that were not in our first delivery of team gear. Look forward to seeing you at the Soby's breakfast on the 7th of January. Mobile Application We are encouraging everyone with a smart phone to download our new mobile application. It works on all the cell phone platforms (Android, Iphone/Ipad, Blackberry, Windows).

So how do your get our mobile application? If you are a Android/Blackberry user you can go to "market" on your phone and search "red raider lacrosse". Then follow the download instructions. If you have an Iphone or Ipad you can do the same by going to the App Store and downloading the Red Raider Lacrosse App. It will ask you if you want to allow "push notifications" and your answer should be "yes". You can turn this feature off later if you so desire. Poster Sponsorship While it is true that all men are created equal..... not all of us were blessed equally. Shortly we will be publishing our 2012 budget for the team. You will be amazed at what it costs to put our team on the field. The majority of our support for the team is raised through our sponsorship's and fund raising. We wish it were different but unfortunately that is the realty for all high school sports. Schools can barely put teachers in the classrooms and sports (while just as important as math class in the development of our young people) is a voluntary activity. We are looking for four sponsors of $500 each for our team poster. The poster goes up in businesses around downtown and it helps promote our sport. Lacrosse is one of the first sports to utilize this method to raise funds for the team. It beats the heck out of washing other peoples cars. Please consider a sponsorship this year.
