The Fall Season came to a close yesterday and now we transition into conditioning prior to the opening day of practice in late January.

Thanks to all of you that picked up your tickets for the Soby's Breakfast. We were able to distribute over 2/3's of the tickets on Saturday. For those of you who have not picked up your tickets please see Stephanie Stephenson so that she can get those into your hands. The more time you have to sell the tickets the better. If you are new to the program this all can be a little overwhelming. You obviously have now realized that High School sports are nothing like Middle School sports. The Soby's Breakfast is our main fundraiser and it has become a Greenville High tradition. Everyone looks forward to it and you will see why on January 7th. Please help us make this the best year yet.  Varsity players take a quick breather while the JVB are on the field Mobile Application We are encouraging everyone with a smart phone to download our new mobile application. It works on all the cell phone platforms (Android, Iphone/Ipad, Blackberry, Windows) . We don't have all the bugs worked out of our mobile applications so please be patient with us. We ain't ever done this before. However soon we will be offering a Red Raider Lacrosse wallpaper for your phone or desktop so you can have this very cool graphic gracing the background on your cell phone. We were going to go with a graphic that said "Lacrosse saving parents from Soccer since 2000" but we didn't want to go negative this early in our campaign. 
Mobile App Button So how do your get our mobile application. If you are a Android/Blackberry user you can go to "market" on your phone and search "red raider lacrosse". Then follow the download instructions. If you have an Iphone or Ipad you can tap on the button above from those devices, scan the QR code on this page or enter into your browser the address http://rrlax.mob.app.at. Once you have downloaded the app and placed it on your home screen you will be one touch away from our calendar (imagine the freedom of not having to ask your wife if there is a game today), our Tweets, Pictures and Video's. Poster Sponsorship While it is true that all men are created equal..... not all of us were blessed equally. Shortly we will be publishing our 2012 budget for the team. You will be amazed at what it costs to put our team on the field. The majority of our support for the team is raised through our sponsorship's and fund raising. We wish it were different but unfortunately that is the realty for all high school sports. Schools can barely put teachers in the classrooms and sports (while just as important as math class in the development of our young people) is a voluntary activity. We are looking for four sponsors of $500 each for our team poster. The poster goes up in businesses around downtown and it helps promote our sport. Lacrosse is one of the first sports to utilize this method to raise funds for the team. It beats the heck out of washing other peoples cars. Please consider a sponsorship this year.
